Color Gradient Texture Import Pipeline for Unity 2019.3 and newer allows you to generate gradient textures directly inside Unity. Please see the video below for an overview.

Installation

In Unity's Package Manager, choose "Add package from git URL" and insert one of the Package URL's you can find below.
